First I had a SS/TC catback, louder then stock yet nice in tone and hardly any rasp. Then comes the 2.5" catted DP and not only she's much louder but raspy at the mid-high end. I was sorta afraid to drive late at night gettin pulled over for noise ordiance hahaha. The sound and volume was toned down some with the recently added 18" Magnaflow resonator, actually about the same as it was when I 1st installed the SS/TC system, yet the mid-high rasp is still there. My last resort is a muffler swap. Are there any mufflers that would take out most of the rasp? I'm not concerned for extreme performance as I already have the catted dp, magnaflow resonator and 2.5" mandrel piping for that.

I was thinking a Dynomax Super Turbo but other choices are welcome. Also don't mind a deep tone.

Seriously i've been to a couple places and neither wanted to throw in a muffler. One says of fitment issues with the wheel well cover, the other that a 2.5 inlet is too big and i'll loose back pressure, and don't carry Dynomax. Much as i'll keep tryin, Maybe i'll score a LSJ/LE5 muffler and call it.

Any one in the central FL area has that certain muffler send me a PM.

 

just add another resonator or get a longer and thicker magnaflow, if your NOT lowered try a 6" diameter straight through 32" xl muffler/resonator, and mount it as far forward is possible, ZERO rasp will get through that beast, just make sure you have the ground clearance, and im not sure how deep the exhaust channel is.

A buddy of mine added a flowmaster 10 series infront of the resonator before and that helped alot, still had resonator and rear muffler just had headers and no cats on a 3000gt n/a it was rasp city till then.
