Unhappy Floor Boards SOAKING wet after heavy rains

Hello all! My name is Jordan and I have a 2008 Cobalt LT coupe. So I've been in that 25+ inches of rain in 24 hours in South Florida that you might have heard about recently. I got into my car this morning and my passenger side floor board had over an inch of water puddled down there, and the driver side floor board is also very wet but not as bad. I've dealt with the common AC water issue - solved that a long time ago, thankfully. I, of course, have pulled the carpet forward to clean up and investigate. It is dry as a bone toward the firewall and rear floor boards, and the door drains are not clogged. This has happened a few times before, but never this bad. I've searched everywhere for help but cannot find a solution. Can anyone PLEASE help?

Have a sun roof? If so then your drain tubes are cloged or they where overwhelmed by the rain. Common thing for cobalts

Check under your cowl and see if those channels are clogged. It may have ran into the airbox from the cabin filter area and down the a pillar . Also check your door harness seals.
