A way mods use to keep important or relevant threads from being lost to the clutter. It holds the thread on the top of the list to make sure everyone can see it. basicly, they are important.

stock SVTF is only good for about 150hp. & 130 tq. to the wheels & shouldn't be a challenge for a SS/SC or Redline

Good for handling....not too great for speed. (I had a '03 SVTF before)

Unless it's got the PowerWorks $5,000 Supercharger on it, which will bump it up to ~230hp. & ~200tq. to the wheels, it wouldn't be a challenge

I crushed one a few days ago in my slightly modded 2.2L, if that tells you anything.

It doesn't need a 5k supercharger to compete with us.

or

Vortec Blower

or

Turbo Conversion

Either way with F/I installed alone can contend with SS/SC

I won't be the first to say the SVT Focus hauls ass with Turbo conversion kit. I got spanked by one from a roll, 1 car less from a dig.

My 94 Z24 Cavailer would break even till I hit 3rd gear from a dig. Then I'm all done.. I ran out of gears. Lousy 3 Speed Auto... Would have kept up with him if I didn't run out of gears..

I had

Custom CAI
Flowmaster 40 series Muffler
Crane Cam Custom Grind Cam (Performance shop installed..)
FFP U/D Pulley
Ported 3.1 Heads

All that **** and still couldn't beat it. I still have the car but it's rusted all to **** and losing paint.. the ****** had the liberty to smile at me when he still had three extra gears to go and ran away.

You can make a Focus haul ass for less then $1500 , I would know I did the research, the only thing stopping me from driving it was it's a death trap and the focus has like 10 major recalls that really worry me..

I have a friend with a SVT Focus that is Procharged. It is sick. It smoked me. I beat it off the line, but only because he is still working on traction issues and his clutch sucks. He is putting around 260hp/235tq to the wheels. Keep in mind that they weigh like 2700 lbs. He has spent around 6K on his car altogether, thats with tune and everything.

This is before the supercharger was put on, I dont have any pics with the huge FMIC on my computer.

I posted what I did since you made it sound like it wouldn't take F/I to keep up with an SS/SC.

No **** that a S/C or Turbo would do the trick. Although Nitrous alone would only help but not even the odds, a 100 shot wouldn't agree with a stock SVT.

I made sure I said 5k.

A 75 shot will get an SVTF in the mid 13s, on tire.

The n20 Saleen Focus (althought a big waste of money) can handle a 75 shot and still do a better quarter mile time then the SS on stock motor internals and heavy body kit w/saleen exhaust. That using the Non-SVT ZX3 motor.

Not sure how it can't even the odds?

SVT Focus + 75 shot = Mid 13 second like superSS/SC said.
