How well were you able to mask off the rear quarter glass trim.

it turned out pretty good actually. the guy before me didn't prime the car before he painted it im pretty sure becuase the paint sanded pretty clumpy, so i had to go to bare metal on alot of the car. and yea the engine bay is silver still but the door jams he painted. ill post some pictures up in a second of how it looked after priming it

What did you use to level areas where you went down to metal in some spots?

i used a electric palm sander to smooth it out into the paint then block sanded it with 50 grit then 120 grit. then i bought a quart of sealer n hit all the spots i went to bare metal. i then block sanded those very gently with 320 grit n primed it n it turned out alright i gotta reprime it n block sand it again but im hoping this next coat is the last one. im givin the car to my dad wen its done also so im hoping it turns out good im excited to see how the paint job turns out but ive got it almost all totally smooth their was a spot on the quarter panel i didn't block sand enough n a spot on the door. anyways its coming along, slowly but surely. id like to get it done asap so i can put my motorcylce n car back in garage haha
