Frustrated

I need some help. I was in an accident with my 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharge. The front bumper was damaged and the whole underlining and inside fender lining had to be ripped out. I figured it would be ok. I have a Injen Cold Air Intake and i saw it was getting caked with mud. I put up the inner fender lining as best as I could but the lining under the bumper was a lost cause. Today I was driving in the rain and noticed my car would not exceed 5 lbs of boost when it usually runs around 13-15. I stopped and looked at my air intake cuz there were no check engine lights on and it was dripping wet. i drove it right home. The engine is not hesitating at all so I dont think there was any engine damage...but just curious to what you guys think. I am getting the bumper repaired asap. My friend said I may have just ruined my engine or supercharger...but like i said..it seems to be running strong...Please help

I also cant find one decent site that sells new engines or superchargers or bumper replacements...could someone help with that too thanks

if your filter was caked with mud you need to replace it. you also need to stop driving your car, or at least get a hydro shield for your CAI. normally i dont tell people they need one, but if you are driving around with all the shrouding from the inner fenders off then your air filter is totally exposed to the elements, thats really bad. your not getting any boost because your filter is caked with mud and no air can get in.

What did you think would happen if your air filter got "caked" with mud and was dripping wet?
