Pontiac is getting the G8 Truck, and most likely getting the G8 Wagon. Theres a Solstice targa now, and a fixed roof coupe is expected as well, theyve got a lot of product coming, and its unlikely the Alpha would go to them as Chevy needs a new larger than Cobalt car as the malibu is SO much bigger now and is actually skimming Impala sales.
The Wagon is definately not gona happen . The ST barely made it . A fixed roof on the solstice for true coupe wont come until the next gen solstice and it will more likely than not be on the alpha platform . Chevy is not getting a alpha car , that was media created ...Cadillac , Pontiac and possibly Buick will get a alpha car in the US . The next gen FWD Impala will correct the sizing similarities between it and the Malibu . The next gen Cobalt will be larger car than it is now so there wont be a need for anything to slot in between the Cobalt and the Malibu .

Expect to see more wagons, CTS, an Epsilon, and one other.

Only because of all the infighting amongst the brands, Chevy wanted it to compliment the Camaro and because of the Elky heritage. GMC wanted it because of the Sprint/Caballero and because its a truck. Pontiac got it simply because it didt require new sheetmetal or crash testing

Kappa is dead, the 2nd gen Solstice/Sky/GT/D2X are gonna be on a shortened Alpha.

Agree with the media hype but dont be surprised to see an Alpha sedan with a Bowtie

DeltaII isnt significantly larger than the current car. And they arent planning on remarketing the Cobalt as a larger car.

I like it, but it's certainly not a TA at all. Put wider tails, point the nose a bit, add pop-ups, and put a big bird on the hood. haha. A reverse shaker would kick ass too..

Oh it's certainly not a TA, but just a little shimmer of hope for a Pontiac performance coupe.
