Yea I didn't remember it being on their either. Then again, at the time I was using that I wanted the color keyed seats. I didn't change my order till the morning it went through to the G85.

Odd, it's gone. To be able to choose it you had to select the ebony inserts. This time around it's no longer an option. Doubt they would pull that package. Maybe it's just a scripting issue on the site.

There saying the LSD is standard on the ss/sc for 06.You can still get the recaro seats but its not G85.Thats what GM is saying,I don't know if it's true or not Thats after a bunch of phone calls.

G85

I just ordered a Red SS/SC 3 weeks ago. I got the G85 with no problem. the only catch was the ebony inserts had to be selected. I used the Chevy employee purchase site and just printed the form. The dealer was able to pull up the option list at the dealer and it was there. So it is definately still available.

If you build one on kbb.com, they show it as an option.

make sure you pick black inserts for the seat or else it removes the G85 option during the build on gm buypower.

I did this, and on Chevrolet.com for 06 the performance package isn't an option. Even on GMBUYPOWER.com... not an option!!!??

What zip code are you using? I want to try a different one to see if that's it?

I was just on the GMCanada website and i built a SS/SC with the recaro performance package (G85) and it included LSD and the seats. So the LSD is NOT standard for 06. And just because both tires spin, doesn't mean you have LSD. LSD transfers torque to the tire that has the best grip. Atleast thats the explaination on the GM site.

Update!!!

UPDATE!!!

I got this response from Chevrolet.

Dear Mr. Montoya,

Thank you for contacting Chevrolet. We appreciate your interest in the 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged Coupe! We would like to apologize for the delay in responding to your email inquiry. Your email is very important to us and we regret any inconvenience that this may have caused.

The Performance Package is still available on the SS Supercharged Coupe, although, it requires the Ebony with Ebony inserts interior trim. To view the information online, please visit www.chevrolet.com. Select Cobalt, Standard & Optional, and then Engine/Chassis. We did notice, however, that when you Build and Price the vehicle, the Performance Package does not show.

We are currently working to correct this. At this time, we do not have a time frame for the website to be corrected/updated, but work continues to resolve the issue and improve the usefulness of the website. We apologize for any inconvenience this has been and appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention.

General Motors may be offering regional incentives in your area. If you would like to email us back with your complete mailing address, we would be happy to provide you with the regional incentive information, or you may view this information by visiting www.gm.com.

Incentive eligibility is based on a number of factors including program dates, credit approval, and geographical residency. Please check with your dealer for further details.

If you need additional information or have further questions, please let us know via email or by calling Chevrolet at 1-800-950-2438, between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., Eastern Time, seven days a week. Thank you for contacting Chevrolet!

Sincerely,

Alison Fritzius
