Yes in the rain too :P. The off road... well I don’t know lol, you would have to have someone shoot me if I took my baby off road :P. I even hate gravel roads the couple times I have had to drive them.

i took the LSD because of the recaros but the main reason why i took it was becasue i drive my balt in the WINTER! and thats where the LSD is useful, you get more control accelerating on slush and snow.....trust me.

yup i can believe that.

but with a set of steelies and good quality winter rubber, i find even alberta winters not difficult to work with.

next time your driving, take a sharp corner (turning left at a stoplight works great)
and really get on the throttle.

if it feels like it doesnt seem to be pulling hard, and your left tire wants to spin, you dont have an LSD.

Also if you have Recaro racing seats you have LSD.

or you could check your original dealer sticker if you still have it.

your not always going to be on the throttle tho, so like they said it helps in the snow and crap and just low speed driving compared to a normal SS. wisconsin winters sucked *****. and you cant always base things off a track, tracks are prepped for grip, the streets are the streets. i just feel you really have to say the LSD ones are or should be faster

Limited Slip Differential, it slows a wheel down until it can get traction so its actually moving your vehicle rather then just spinning there doing nothing.

Well, we bought the whole G85 trans, but i'm sure it would be a lot more $ to get the LSD actually installed inside the trans. Otherwise it was just a simple transmission swap. And that one legged spin around corners was rediculous beforehand and it happened even at low speeds. Now if i'm spinning tire around corners its at high turning speeds and its usually both tires.

Does the lsd put less hp down to the wheels? I read somewhere that its 12% loss with jus fwd and 15% with lsd too.

id go to ventura stock tune with bolt on's and beat SS/SC's with more bolt on's on a stock tune or the stage 2 SS/SC that was otherwise stock.
less weight=better power to weigh ratio...

My opionion so far with the LSD is that its awesome of course, lol. Havent takin it to the track yet to see if it does do anything but on the street, it helps a little bit taking off. Just my opinion since ive owned a non g85. Corners are the **** now though, lol.

No it doesn't. Racing another car or two doesn't really prove it either. 1st will spin and hop all over the damn place too with the LSD with a hard launch, I know I've driven both.

ive had the LSD pull me straight after incorrectly taking a high speed canyon turn at night. over 40 MPH. it was nuts.. i believe the trans is stronger with the LSD cause of the carrier and i believe a stronger roll pin. and trust me the 07 stage 2 tune boosts 11 to 12 at 2k so i know about spinnin a LSD RL.. its a FWD car its gonna spin regaurdless.. i got to drive a custome tuned RL with no lsd and it was a dream to launch. boost scaled back under 4k.
