Driving now and I'm losing a good amount of gas. Driving to Richmond which is 3 hours away. I changed my fuel filter and I know the reason. When you do the fuel filter that color tabs that come with the filter do we use them?

I connected everything right. How can I not leaking !?

 

So it's leaking somewhere on the gas tanks. I can see gas under the gas tank. Hopefully it's a line that's messed up and not the tank.

 

Got it fixed since we had a recall about this. The fuel pimp was cracked. Now I noticed I was still losing some gas when driving around the city. Does this come with territory of getting a new fuel pump?

Question: does installing a new fuel pump affect your gas? I don't smell or see any gas leaking. Just watching my gauge decrease a little faster.

It's always a chance but don't I don't smell gas yet. It feels that way. Last time I didn't really think of it until I actually started driving long distance and started paying attention.
