Gasoline Question

Hello,
When I go to Autzone they have lots of gasoline additives, Some promising cleaning, others more octane others more mpgs.

Do any of them actualy work? Is there an additive to help reduce KR?

Just wondering.

Octane boosters from what I've heard don't do nearly as much as they claim. I think I read somewhere that people who were seeing knock because of fuel were adding a little bit of toluene to their tank. It's used usually as a paint thinner and can be found at places like Lowe's

Just not too much or you will be running too lean for your fuel mixture

HEET is methanol. It'll raise your octane rating / resistance to detonation. Buying higher octane rating at the pump is cheaper.

Exactly. When im around the 1/16th of a tank i know i can get 10 gallons + 1.5 of E85. AFR usually stays around 12.0-12.5. Tuned for 11.7

If you've got e85 available, why not get tuned for it? Can't be because you are afraid of blowing up your motor

Was running 26* for awhile but either changing to winter blend fuel or something was giving me a little knock so it's lowered to 18* to be safe for now. Plus my damn lightweight flywheel doesn't absorb vibrations and it shows up as false kr

When I get wheel spin (which is frequently in the cold lol) I sometimes see a tiny bit but it's just false kr because no wheel spin, no kr
