Question Gauge lights

Any way to have the gauges lit up 24/7?

It seems even when my lights are on for rain (its the law around here) the gauge lights do not come on.

Also the gauge 'hood' keeps them in the shade/dark more than I would like.

I wish there was some wiring jumper that would force them on all the time and effect nothing else.

Does anyone know if the light sensor on the upper dash varies the brightness for the guage lights as it sense different light levels?

But you can't turn the instrument panel lights on, they will ONLY come on through the automatic light sensor...which SUCKS. The only solution is to cover the light sensor, which I tried, and that gets really annoying.

I tried covering mine, but it was too damn annoying having a piece of paper up there. Tried a piece of fabric, same thing, it reflects in the windshield and gets damn annoying.

I like the light sensor idea, I just wish it would WORK. Apparantly other people don't have a problem with theirs, this topic has been discussed in a previous thread. The problem is some of us have sensors that aren't sensitive enough. Mine for example doesn't come on until it's almost totally dark. Streetlights are on, everyone else's headlights are on, etc. When I take my car in next week I'm going to ask them about it. If it's an easy replacement (i.e. dash doesn't have to be taken apart) then I'm going to have them replace it under warranty.

As for the IP lights, the simple fix would have been to have an override which would allow people to turn the interior lights on whenever they want to.
