Im not sure if i have the side airbags or not but i know that the airbags deploy from the top not from behind the pillar, this is a false belief as there is no need for extra airbags upfront since the steering whell has an airbag in it,

celicacobalt,
Does the screw cover that fastens the upper part of your pillar say the word "AIRBAG" in it? If it does, you have side air bags. My yellow one don't and my black one does.

i know for a fact that the airbag atleast attaches to the pillar about 2/3 of the way down. if any of you have side airbags and pull the cover off the pillar you will see a square black tude and inside that is the airbag.

there is at LEAST 2 pics on this site, maybe more, of deployed side air bags.
the bag is NOT in the pillar.

it has a small attachment point behind the pillar, but the bag itself is deployed further up in the roof liner.

From the threads ive read on this numerous times, your A-pillar will not hinder or become a projectile from a deploying airbag.

If you check around and research it, im pretty sure you will come up with the same conclusion

Umm...dude, you have mechanical guages...

Digital gauges show numbers (example: wideband guage shows your a/f ratio in #s like 14.7)

Mechanical works just fine but make sure you get an digital a/f ratio wideband gauge, not a regular a/f gauge. If you do a search, there is a thread where I posted pictures of the zeitronix unit in my car.

Other than that, like I said, mechanical is just fine.

Nope, mechanical is referring to the actual mechanical hand moving. Digital is referring to the digital numbers showing you whats happening.

If I'm not mistaken, mechanical gauges are taking an input directly from the source, like boost and temp through vacuum hoses or other tubing.

Electrical gauges take their input from a sensor mounted in the desired location. Ex: a EGT sensor in your downpipe, or a electronic boost sensor.

But never the less, the input to the gauge is coming from a wire, not a tube.

he is right, mechanical would have a line running right to the source.. like fule preasure .. it would have a line that runs right to the fuel rail and run back in the car and measures the preasere inthe car where electrical uses a sensor.. most gauges now are electrical.. cleaner and safer then having fuel and oil lines running into your car...alot of race cars use that and older cars that do not have electrical sensors.. as for what you see on the gause it's either digital or analog.. where you see a digital read out or have something that moves like a clock that would be analog.

**** you sure?

I always thought it was more about the gauge itself and not about how it read the information.

If I'm incorrect, my apologies.

i agree....

the original poster may be mistaken by this...

i think he ment to ask the differance between a mechanical and electial(sp?) gauge

not analog or digital in referance to display type
