For the people that want the "Cobalt" style guage..the air to fuel ratio gauge is a narrow band guage...you will not get an accurate a/f ratio...now when you go with the AEM Wideband a/f guage then you actually see your ratio. its a digital gauge. I like the look of the cobalt gauge because of the scrolling led display..but that gauge is really for show only.

Auto Meter sells both a true wideband with a bosh 02sensor like every other WB02 kit OR they also sell a guage that can tap into your stock 02's and read it but only as a narrowband.

If I'm incorrect, my apologies.
A mechanical gauge has a physical line going right to it. IE, fuel pressure has a fuel pressure hose going to the gauge itself, brake pressure would have a brake line, oil pressure would have an oil line, vaccuum would have a vaccum line, etc. Nothing to do with how the gauge displays the data.

An electrical gauge has a sensor mounted remotely with wires running to the gauge itself.

On the race cars I work on we use mechanical gauges whenever possible as they are more accurate and have less failure points. This is somewhat impractical on street cars though since it's often hard to find a good place to mount the gauge and snake wires through in the first place, much less hard lines.
