The speedo going to 120 or 140 makes no difference. The speed sensor signal is calculated by the ecm and sent to the cluster over the CAN bus. The reason cobalt and ion vss setting are different is likely due to tire size.

 

Thanks! I’ve never been able to find them since I bought them, hoping they don’t break while I have them because I’d never be able to get a replacement.
