General question.
Doing some research on engines and are the ecotec considered direct injection since its not multiport since it doesnt inject in the intake manifold. or would it be considered cylinder port injection, and if so what is the difference? wikipedia claims that gm used it in an opel in 04 and the gxp engine.
but from what I was looking at mpfi injects into the intake manifold and the ecotec injectors are actually into the head thats why i was wondering if they were considered direct injection
Thanks Adam, whats up man. I have'nt talked you in a while. I just got a sick new DJ Ireane cd. Cant wait to listen to it in my car, that is if the dealer ever gets it fixed. Its been there for a month straight. Total time in dealer in the five months ived owned it is two and half months, but yet for some strange reason I still want to keep the car. Kinda weird huh?
Nope, only on the saturn sky turbo, and pontiac solstice gxp

No, they are placed somehow along with the intake manifold and they point at the top of the valves (just upstream).
Even on DPI the fuel goes through the intake valve. The injector sits behind the valve and sprays when your valve is open. I don't think they sit in the combustion chamber, but I could be wrong
