The Cobalt will probably stop production after 4-5 years. That is the new standard. People are going for newer, different stuff. I get people asking when they are going to redesign something that is only 2 years old. People always want something newer and different.

Totally correct on the Cavalier. GM let it languaish and never did much with it at all. Eventaully the mere name was liability and evena brand new product, AKA Delta, would be tarnsihed because of it.

The Grand Am however, had a much better rep and did not go nearly as long without updates. They should have kept that name.

hats the new standard? Hmm...what other cars do that? I am really not sure what your saying.

The Cobalt will be around a long time. When a new generation comes out--it will still be a Cobalt.
