GMPP Intake ... How is it?
Hey guys. I'm looking for a CAI that my dealer won't bitch about me putting in and I'm wondering what you guys thing about the GMPP intake. Is it as good as the rest? Also, what is the details on the engine warranty as far as the dealer goes with intakes.
okay this is basically how it goes down, you replace the intake so no more warranty on the intake. now if there is a problem that happens, that is the route cause from the intake, then warranty claim is denied. the only real thing you will come across that can be denied is if oil from the filter ruins the maf, thats about it. so i say buy an aem dry flow.
if dealer gives you hell over the intake, then try another one. if all fails, then report to GM. an intake cant do damage (other then the maf from air filter oil, and if you drive through water hydrolocking motor) as long as its connected and filter is on and everything is hooked up.

If you get the GMPP intake installed by the dealer, that part is warrantied. As far as intakes in general go, the dealer cannot void any of your warranty unless they can prove that the aftemarket part caused the damage. My advice is to get a dryflow filter on whatever intake you get so that you don't get oil on your MAF.
