Going with power window install.

Well It's summer and I'm tired of reaching over and cranking the passenger window when on the highway. Kinda have it down to a science of holding the wheel and keeping the car straight while getting that passenger crank. But on-wards with the question. Is there any specific brand I should go with?

I'd go with the second one. Are you gonna install it yourself ???

not that hard. just put in the motor for the window in place for the manual crank for the windows. follow the wiring insturctions they give you, and your set

make sure you guys do this right. there was a real good how to thread on here about how to do this but it cost the guy a **** load of money. i wanna do the same thing but i wanna have it look like it came that way from the factory. a friend of mine did this in his hyundai elantra and it was such a bad rig, he always had to bend down to reach his switch because the wires wern't long enough. so just out of curiousity where are you planning on putting the control switch?

Whenever you do this, could we get a how-to? I'm getting really sick of reaching for the passenger crack too, but it's not worth my car looking ghetto.

I've been keeping an eye on local junk yards, trying to find a 4 door with power windows. I figure that way i can keep the door panels and everything, make it look 100% factroy. It would probably end up being cheaper that way too

I'm going to do the power windows and power door locks, possibly within 2 weeks. I'll take pics.

I'm getting tired of reaching also but you really need to get new door panels though otherwise where are u gonna put the switch without it looking like **** ??? It's a cool idea and all, but I don't think it's worth the trouble or the $$$. Good luck with your project anyways and please post pics once it's done.

Yes I do plan on doing it myself. Every job can be done right if you do it how the directions say. Should have this all done by next friday. But on the junkyard note, I have yet to see one around.

I'm going to put mine in the door panel's arm rest. It will also be a good time to get rid of that crappy factory fabric, and get it vinyled.

I am putting my switches on the left of the ebrake. Theres enough room for 2 switches and I think it would be awesome.

Wow never would have thought of that concept. I think I may have a place for my switches. But my idea was to traditionally add it to the arm rest.

Wow, I don't know... check the phone book I would guess. I know where probably 10 are around where I live, they have just always been there. if the phone book doesn't work, I would call a tow truck company, they should be able to point you in the right direction. There is always ebay too.
