Hey man dont be to dissapointed same thing pretty much happened with me but my parents which are my Co-Signers they signed everything the deal went through i was getting the Cobalt SS/SC for roughly 28000$ Canadian and last minute they tell me i cant go over 25 000$ since im 17 even though my parents co-signed and i had a 4000$ downpayment,, so instead i got the Pursuit GT 2.4 VVT yada yada, and reality kinda punched me in the face and told me i would have probably wrapped the SS/SC around a tree so im happy i got my Pursuit GT ;D and yes i pay for everything myself lol

If I can find a way to get you the money, you may just have your self a buyer for that shifter.

no prob man. At this point, the shifter is all i have left, and it is yours untill ya tell me otherwise. Now my summer is gunna stuck. Put the cavi back to stock. Been running it all over the place under 2,000 RPM to be good on gas. No i feel life-less. I really don;t know what to do know.

Memph i would try else wehre, but I worked at Crane Chevy and the finance guy tried everything to get me in it, but cuz i have no credit, he pretty much said w/o a perental co-sign, i have no chance. And with all the fam stuff going on (Step sisters husband died of cancer(25), she has 2 kids, Other step sister is now preg and not married, but moving into a house with the guy, step dad has some fam problems. Pretty much 0% chance mom/Step dad co-sign. And my dad, hears cobalt, and wants to punch me, cuz we have the Monte sittin in the Garage, and he wants me to kinda buy it from him. So it can stay in the Fam. So there's 0% chance him/step mom co-sign. so i have 0% chance of this car and it sux being i knew about it back in like 03 when it was fist talked about, and i've been thinking of ways to get it since then. Sux even more now cuz i'm on hear EVERY SINGLE DAY and now it's almost like a slap in the face everytime i put in the website to go look. I fell like crying/Killing some 1/hiding under a rock and having every one leave me alone.

SUX EVEN MORE IS THE FACT I TOLD AT LEAST 100 PPL "I'M GETTING THAT NEW COBALT SS S/C" NOW not getting Sh*t and i'm gunna look like a moron!

Start using a credit card and paying it off or something. Would extended family work for the cosign?
It's not hopeless

K i just gotta say, if you want something bad enough, theres always a way to get it.
if you wake up everyday and think of SS/SC YOU WILL GET IT, it may take a few months, definatly less then a year, and yeah, you can do it. theres so many possibilitys out there you just have to find the magic spot, like when i found it on my clutch. talk to your bank, talk to a credit union, talk to your parents/grandparents any relatives about co-signing. talk to the dealers, do a credit app to GM everyday till they get pissed off enough that they call you and say FINE, sell everything you dont use or dont like, work overtime if you have a job and not in school, theres ALWAYS a way if you want it bad enough. i went through a lot of **** to get my SS/SC but now im lovin it. You can do the same. So get to it.

I was told the more i apply for a card or a loan and get turned down, my credit score go's down. lady at the bank said to stop applying, get a sears card, use that for about 3 months, then apply for one or 2 real credit cards.

Seems like a no there. He commented on that in a previous post.

Russo, this might seem like a dumb question.. but have you concidered looking into Leasing the car?.. You may not be able to mod it in every way you are hoping to on a lease, but hell at least it'll get you into the car. If you do put money into moding it, you could just buy it out at the end of the lease. It'll be a whole lot more expensive over time, but again at least you'll get into the car.

Don't give up, and make sure you try different dealerships, also, maybe consider used or different model?

I don't know if this would help out, but a couple of suggestions regarding credit:do not run your credit anymore. running your credit lowers your score (if you have one) and won't help you if you don't have any credit built (there is nothing there to anaylze for your score).run your credit sparingly. Good credit starters are secured credit cards(available at most banks with credit limits as high as you can deposit),secured loans ( same deal as secured credit cards), gas cards, retail store cards(such as electronic appliance stores), and any small credit limit credit card that usually comes in the mail (just make sure that they are a trusty well known bank offering you thier card).any type of credit is good as long as you adhere to their rules for payments and such. always(and i stress ALWAYS!) make your payments on time and whatever you do, don't miss a payment. i am also in the process of building my credit and i also recently found out I did not have enough credit on my own to purchase my cobalt. I do not want to use anyone's credit since i know that i am resposible for messing up thier credit if, in any case, i miss a payment. i also found out i needed to have at least one loan on my credit( that was well paid) to get a car loan with good terms. so i went out and got a little ATV. anyways, talk to a credit specialist if you have any questions. these are just suggestions and are in no way legal or credit advice, just things i have picked up on the way and i am also using to get my SS/SC. i do not currently own a cobalt, but , just like you, i dream about it everyday, and i've learned a lot from .net , so stick around, keep your head up and never give up. there is always a way. and BTW, Hello evryone!
