Sorry to thread jack...But BartSS is right. Anyone that has an LNF thats modded and tuned know that the plugs dont go no 100k. Even more so if you NLS alot. I mean, they will but your performance will suffer and MPGs will drop. Aaaaanyways.....

Sorry to see the HHR go man. But grats on the new purchase. Enjoy it!

It was fun while it lasted man. Deff suprised a lot of people on the street haha. The reason i got it is because my x was pregnant. Its fun to drive and what not but i had a bunch of stuff done to it so **** started going wrong. I was just tired of the headaches and dealership visits and such. Overall what i would say is get it do the stage kit and call it a day man.

well i blew the map sensors twice, maf sensor took a ****, o2 sensor once, turbo and all 4 injectors were replaced, stock clutch got replaced at 200 miles cus i guess people on test drives didnt know how to drive the throw out bearing went bad oh and i got a P0436 which i believe is the purge valve but i didnt bother fixing that just got rid of the car. Little stupid **** like that is what got to me. I mean it was all replaced under warranty but just not having the car for extended periods of time was frustrating.

Overall the car was fun though

Me and bartss where talking about oil changes not plugs he just tossed that in to be funny, at he admited himself down a few post he changes his oil every 3k because it gives him peace of mind, he was one of the people that still believes oil only last 3k miles but ita proven even reg oil last past 3k people just dont know any better or they stuck in the 80s

I know it lasts longer than 3K man but the way i drive my car i like to be safe. $25 for oil every couple months isnt a lot at all. Beats the hell out of needing a new car

Regardless of how long you think oil may last, it gets contaminated by the combustion process and gasoline itself. Unless your filter can remove gasoline, you're allowing a solvent and an oil to mix unnecessarily. I've had this conversation with more people than I'd like to admit, but...

I've been putting in more engines at the dealership in the last few years then I ever did in years past. They've all been with customers with 7500 mile or longer oil change intervals. The ones that get done in 3-4k miles don't have issues.

Exactly. Thanks for reinforcing our beliefs LOL
Although it can 'last' that long it breaks down just as fast and in high revving high performance engines like ours thats a bad thing. Especially with the oil getting cycled through the turbo and being heated to almost boiling day in and day out LOL
Ive recently made the switch to mobile 1 high mileage because theres a loophole in the law that allows high milage branded oils to have higher ZDDP content. This one has been tested to have a consistant ZDDP level of about 1200ppm from oil change to oil changes. Wish I knew about this a long time ago cause I would have been using it than regular M1 and other synth blends that are only allowed to have about 400ppm ZDDP.

Again, SORRY for the thread jack

Yeah, I honestly believe its how you drive the car that will determine what you should use and how often to change it. You cant have a cookie cutter and just say 'these are the guidelines that everyone should use when it comes to oil changes' cause not everyone drives the same.

Pics of the Maxima yet???
