Talking Got my Cobalt - A little earlier than expected!

They thought I wouldn't get it until early-mid February, but I suddenly got a call yesterday that it was in and I could pick it up today. Of course, it snowed all night so I had to go pick it up then drive it in the snow to work. It's already covered in salt crap, but at least I got to see it super clean when I first got there, heh. It had 6 miles on it when I left the lot... nice!

I love it though; it is so fun to drive. I love how tight and nice everything feels. I love the Recaro's and I love the new car smell. Oh yeah.

Now I'll be constantly making excuses to go driving.

I'll post pics soon!

Oh yeah, btw, I ordered it on the 11th of November. So it took 2 months and 1 week.

Just to go along with this post, I went and gave my local dealer the specifics that I wanted, and it turned out there was only one SS that fit my description. It was in Georgia, and had to be trucked to me in FL. I intended to get the car with everything I wanted, nothing less. If there wasn't one already made, I would have had it built. But I ordered the car to be trucked to me on 3 January and it was at my local dealer the following morning. They had to trade the silver SS they had in the showroom for mine since they're allocated only 1 at any given time or something.

So my turnaround time was about 16 hours, but I didn't have my car built to my specs, one was already made. I drove the car off the lot with 23 miles, but that was after they took it to get fueled up for me. I suspect it was closer to about 10 when it got to FL.

I've been waiting to see more Laser Blue pictures. Hope you can post them soon, because I lack patience!

Finally someone else with a laser blue SS/SC. I love the fact I have yet to see one in person.

Well according to the girl at Applebees (see my other post on the main page) Red and Black cars are the fastest, and blue is a slower color.

And come Cobaltfest in July, I'd be more then happy to beat some Arrival Blues if I get the chance

I ordered on Nov. 11, they told me the build date sometime around a month later. Not sure if that will apply to you or not, but it may be a guideline. The estimate they gave me was Jan 1 to start building, but they didn't start until around Jan 6th. It then arrived in Utah on Jan 18th.

I'll get those pics up tonight when I get home from work. The color is awesome! I hadn't even seen it in person when I chose it and ordered it... I just knew I'd want this color. I wish it wasn't already salt-colored.
