Just went through the disasters of learning a stick on a SS/SC 6 months ago myself

Sounds like you're slipping the clutch quite a bit. You don't need to rev up and then start letting off, though that is how I started also. Eventually you'll get to where you simultaneously let off the clutch and apply the gas in one smooth motion. It's a bit tough at first, but if you figure out where the point is where is disengages it's easier. Go to your driveway, and in first, slowly let off the clutch until you start to roll. That point is where it starts to disengage.

I don't know about stalling, I did A LOT when I first got it. You'll get it eventually, just practice

Congrats and enjoy a fun ride! Stalling is normal for a first timer. I stalled numerous times my first week too. Once you get used to it, youll love it.

The SS/sc's have a feature that actually will apply more engine power if it thinks it's going to stall. You can start out on level ground without using any gas if your easy enough on the clutch .
