Got Rear Ended! Again! Bad Luck
Well Those of you who know me know my dad backed up into my cobalt a while back and the Autobody shop Charged 1,350 for a new pass side Fendor painted etc, and a new Pass Side Door panel. Before I even go on about my new accident check this out! From seeing 4 auto body shops on a price for the new damage they told me the Side door panel was never replaced! Those idiots puddied it and painted over it Ok guys so what should I do? Sue? Damand the money for the door panel? Or call the insurance company who payed for it? The door still isent sitting right when closed ( trim is un-even ) Even better yesterday I got rear ended Went through the guys insurance company and they gave me a price of $918 for a Rear bumper paint ect... And he said if the shock absorbers damaged they will take care of that also. I am satisfied but it still isent fun gettin slammed into..you never know the long term damage it does on your car. Anyone know the prices of the 3 Diff bumpers LS,SS,SS/SC cus this price on mine is high for a LS and just ant to make sure ( $369 ) Thanks guys/girls

call your insurance and let them do the sueing. insurance companys hate fraud and wil;l do everything to destroy it. Call this body shop and tell them what happened and tell them that you took pics of their shitty job and now they are thinking of taking it further with the law since they risked your safety and charged you with **** they didnt do to ur car. tell them that they suck and u want it all done again for free or feel the rath of unemployment!!!

Hunter is right. Tell the new autobody shop to not work on anything yet and get your insurance claim adjuster to photograph the evidence of the old job. Then let the insurance company handle it.
You should also report the autobody shop to the NY state Attorney-General (you've got Elliot Spitzer...so that shop is going DOWN! He does not screw around with this stuff and he's great at making an example out of things like this...plus it's great for him since he's going to be your next Governor!).
Then call town hall and tell them that you want to report the body shop (all businesses have to be licenced) and tell them exactly what happened. On Monday morning I am sure the body shop will have a visitor from town hall with a clipboard and maybe some new stickers for the window!!
I'm sure AG Spitzer's office will also remind this autobody shop about licencing and the ways that licence can be pulled, ****, they may even give them a hands on demonstration!
Once you've done that, contact the body shop and tell them you've called Spitzer's office and the town, that the insurance adjuster is taking photographs and that your next call is to the BBB (don't forget them!). As they start to yell and scream in to the phone ask them how it feels to be the ones f*ed up the ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha ha.

Nickc84, if you live in the NYC area, call Arnold Diaz at Channel 5 for the Shame on You Report, Channel 7 for 7 on Your Side and Channel 4 for Asa Arons...all consumer affairs reporters able to make this a very high visiblity indescretion for this autobody shop.

I wasn't saying network, they're local. And it would be about the repair shop frauding the insurance company, not the cobalt itself. I am tired of paying high insurance and part of that reason is insurance fraud.

"Let's go to Ronkonkoma, NY. Hello caller?"
"Uh, yes, hi Larry."
"Hello, do you have a question for our guest, Debbie Reynolds?"
"No, but I wanted to tell you that I am the big buck that your wife chose as the frozen pop" [phone cut off]
"We'll be right back, now for a work from our sponsor Garlique."

the work you got was all that was charged, a new 1/4 panel and door skin? would be 4-5k, including labor, parts, paint hours, and blend time, unless its black. 1350? was a repair only.

I think that Ester C and Ester E, Welch's Grape Juice and Garlique are the elixir of life apparently...I mean they let an old guy bang a young chick and make babies....and he used to smoke like a chimney when he was just on NY Radio (watch Ghostbusters!!!). I mean you don't get a sweet and soft voice like his without working on it!
