hands off my wheel...
any posts on installing a new steering wheel...and what to do so theres no air bag malfunction...and no CELS! new steering wheel=no driver inflatable restraint

First thing - check with your state laws. In some states if you remove an airbag, your car will fail inspection. If you plan on doing any racing with SCCA like auto-x (don't know the NASA rules), you will also not be able to run your car.
Other than that, I don't know specifics - don't know of anyone that's done that before.

Yea its def gonna be illegal, disabling a factory safety feature. I looked into this as well.. and decided that i would rather have my face hit an airbag as compared to a steering wheel..
May not be this way in all states but at LEAST you wont be able to pass inspection unless if you find someone that doesnt care
