i always understood its easier to shoot a flame with the cat in. as the fuel builds there and then burns up when u shift. i could be 100% wrong though.

Catless shoots flames easier than catted. There is nothing for the flame to get caught in with a catless DP

If your shooting flames out the exhaust youve got issues.....
Your looseing performance and power because the compustion would be occuring in your exhaust system instad of your cylinder.

Late ignition timing can cause it though. Youd have to tak out your exhaust system maybe go to a short stack system with the exhaust comming out the hood.

Most show cars that do the flames for show, have a spark plug in the exhaust to ignight unburnt fuel vapers when running rich. But that would require some sort of aireator or something to mix oxygen with it. Or even a seperate fuel line just for the exhaust show.

lol issues? there are many reasons why flames come out of tailpipes and it doesn't always mean issues...

I have no issues and I shoot teh flames. Mine occur during no lift shifts with my WOT box. It cuts ignition but not fuel so you can keep your foot planted while shifting. When the ignition is re applied it will quickly burn the excess fuel and pop a little flame out the exhaust.
