i suggest instead of the hair dryer you bake them in the over at about 200* for 20mins it will make it 100x easier to pull apart

paint them, and get the HID look like bulbs, total cost of both mods. 60 bucks, if that. then you can get the eye lids.

60 bucks unless you're stupid like me and try to use goof-off on the headlight covers to take off some sealent that gooped onto it... Word to the wise, Goof-off has no effect on the OUTSIDE of the covers, but will turn the inside of the lens into a milky white haze

Thank goodness I found a used headlight on e-bay for $19... should have this fixed by the end of the week

dont bother taking the goop off, leave it there dont scrap any sealent off the lens or the housing... that way when your ready to put them back together you just heat them in the oven (~200* for 15min.) to get the sealant all goopie, then run a quick bead for extra seal & stick em back together... why waste time scraping it off when it can be reused??

how about when your pulling them apart and the "goop" is hot/warm and it strings out and swings into the inside and sitcks onto the inside of the lense, near the middle... in that case you might want to get it off, otherwise you have a line of "goop" going through the front of the lense.
