My brother has a g5, I have an 07 SS/sc.. His car is at the house since he's away on vacation.. Sooo

My turn signal is out in both my headlights.. Can I take the complete headlights from the g5 & just swap them?

Most likely. What year is the G5? In 08 they changed DRLs to headlights instead of turn signals.

 

My 07 the drls are the headlights. I would prefer the parking light as drls looks better imho

Well maybe it was 07 they switched. Just turn them on and see whats what. If they match then your ok.

Not entirely sure. You might get whatever he has or it wont work. No big deal really.

Swapping headlights doesn't affect what DRLs you have in the slightest. That is controlled by the BCM.

If both your turn signal bulbs are blown, then they should be replaced. More practical than replacing the entire headlight assembly. If NONE of the bulbs (turn signals or headlights) are working then you have other problems that need addressing.

 

Ill just swap em out first & see what happens.. If that doesn't work, I'll just replace all of them

I think there's other bulbs that don't work. But I never thought about just swapping all the bulbs

 

I heard they chaged them in 06 because I have a 07 G5 and my headlights are not my turn signal

 

Unless his G5 is a GT, he might not have the same tinted lenses that you have on your SS. It's only a subtle difference, but definitely noticeable if you only swap over one headlamp assembly.
