Headlight wiring question/idea

I'm just throwing this idea out here to get some opinions on whether it might work or not. I have the 1st gen halo projectors with HIDs in the low beam and regular halogens in the high. My problem is I have the lows aimed so high because using high beams sucks: one because they are halogens and two because bringing back down the the lows makes the HIDs dim due to the voltage balancing. I get flashed all the time and I know my lights are blinding people. My solution idea is to possibly tap the 2 harnesses together (high and low beam) so that my lows will remain on when switching back and forth with the highs. This way I can aim the lows down again, put some whites in the highs just to enhance the look (and aim them mad high). Does anyone know if this will work? or possibly the best way to accomplish this? I don't want to overload anything or fry any wiring. This is just an idea I haven't really thought it through totally, getting some opinions first. Thanks in advance guys!

bump...anyone? Am I going to just have to trial and error this?
