Is there any way to make my headlights not come on when I turn my car on? Like when you start the car the lights flash real quick because they come on when the ignition is turned to the on position and then they flash when the car is actually started. Is this going to hurt my HIDS when I put them in or is there any way for the lights to always be off right when the car starts?

 

um it should be the option in the DIC or w.e is called when you hold the reset and change button on your steering wheel, i changed mine so that only time they come on are when i turn them on or when its night

 

mine do that. with my hids i park in a garage so when i start the car they turn on but ones i get outside they turn off. if u put the car on acc mode just turn the key up 1 klick and they dont turn on. i have done this for almost a year and no proplems. if you want to turn the lights off auto. turn the switch on the stalk and it will say auto lights off on the dic.

 

I tried doing it every way I could tonight. There isnt a setting in the DIC that lets me turn auto lights off. I too park in a garage so I guess when I get in the car I should turn the controlls to running lights only before I start the car?

 

i leave mine on auto. they will blink on and get to there working temp. then once im out of the garage they turn off but the lights stay on for a few sec then go off. same when i turn the car off. ill get out lock it all the lights will be off but the hid lights stay on for about 5sec then they turn off on there own. you should be fine with the way things are now.

 

i have had hids in my car for over a year and no problems here.

 

ya...tahts always pissed me off as well...i keep getting paranoid that my hid colours are fading because of it....but they probably arent lol
