hearing a strange noise

so for a whle ive been hearing this odd noise coming from 5 and not recently did i realize whatarea of the car its coming from. its kind of a high pitched, whiny kind of noise that wavers while the car is running, whether in park or driving. its coming somewhere by the rear wheels and seems to be more prominent on the passenger side of the car, any ideas as what it may be?

sluggish acceleration. your fuel pump is the only electrical thing back there that can whine. if it was anything else, it would just creek like suspension does because htat's all that's back there

i got a recall in the mail a few months ago to have some hose fixed on the car coming off the fuel pump. Says poor performance and fuel could leak if not fixed.
