i just got my cosmo racing short shifter and have to take off the reverse lock but i dk how to take it off! any suggestions!

 

ok, idk why you wanna do this...but whatever floats ur boat....see that little pin in the middle of the reverse lock, the one thats threaded and goes in that little slot so u can move it up and down...take it out and there ya go, should slide off...but idk how its gonna look

 

arent supposed to remove it? this is a Ion short throw and they said they only way to work would be takin off the reverse lock out

 

hmm...no idea...i figured if the ion uses the same tranny it should be the same setup...but bump for someone who knows something about an Ion...as i am more of an SS/SC guy myself!

Drift and Hammer. Punch it out with the Drift...

 

if its threaded...then im guessing its hex...if its a roll pin...good ol' hammer and punch!

 

well i just put it in, but if fits really weird. it feels like its in crooked. has this happened to anyone else? any suggestions or ideas?!

 

get a hurst shifter?
