HELP!!!!! None of my lights work!! (fuse?)

So I was messing with my lights because one of my "halo rings" on my projectors blew out. So I'm working on it and I had everything prewired to make sure it worked and it did. So I turned off the lights and messed with things so the LEDs would look a little better. And I turned the lights on again and everything worked and as I'm walking back to turn them off, the headlights shifted (wasn't installed, just kinda sitting there) and I heard a slight "pop" sound (I think positive and negative wires touched) and now none of my exterior lights with the exception of my headlights and middle tail light work. What happened? Did I blow a fuse? If so, how do I fix it and which fuse is it?

yea, you shorted the wires together......check fuses in fuse block, see what's blown. Make sure and fix the wiring before you put a new fuse in, or you'll just pop it again

pull out the fuses, probably labeled for lights.....there will be a few, pull em out and see which ones look blown. The inside will probably be discoloed, and the metal will be seperated in it. You can get new fuses at pep-boys, autozone, etc.

when fuses blow the insides seperate if there are 2 pieces of metal inside rather than 1 its blown.

I pulled the DRL fuse and it sounds like what you just described. I'll grab a pic and post it in a sec to show you what I'm looking at...

Here's the fuse. The red arrow is pointing to the metal that I assume you guys are all talking about...

I think there is. I swear I've seen random fuses laying around somewhere. Unless I"m just thinking of my old car haha

^^Thanks man, I appreciate it. I was scared as hell when it first happened because I immediately thought worst case scenario and I thought I killed the car haha. But good to know in case something ever happens again.
