Is there more than one 2.4 intake manifold? Since two 2.4 hoses are listed and the difference is whether or not it has the oil cooler I'm assuming that both hose's intake manifold connections are forward of, and just below, the throttle body (The 2.2's connection is on the rear of the intake manifold).

Thanks again for the assistance.

It looks like there's only one intake manifold for the 2.4's. I guess the hose is rerouted to wrap around the cooler or something. GM is odd about that sort of thing. it might have a 60 degree bend on one hose and a 62 on the other so they make a whole different part number lol.

fr33k do you have any documentation or a part number for the newest stage 2 tune. I just had mine installed at a dealership and am only hitting 12.5psi. My rev limiter is at 6500 so something isnt right. I had it installed in January. Thanks

I got the Grandpa Ride . . .

2006 Chevy Cobalt LS Sedan

I'd like a price and contact information for replacement parts. I'd like to "blackout" my interior trim package . . . no chrome, silver, or wood-grain.

How much for a can of satin black spray paint?

OR

instrument trim package - black (I could only find red, yellow, & blue package)
door handles & cups - black (I have silver & brown)
door panel insets/armrest - black (I have brown plastic / brown cloth)

TIA

Stage 1 and 2 are the same tune and should red line at 7K. If it doesn't, you don't have it.

What would be the #'s for the red door inserts for the SS/SC. Thank you.

For you to only have the 6500 limiter, they forgot to do the tune. You'll have to go back and try and have them do the reflash correctly. Hopefully they give you the instructions because there is a code on it that they have to have to get the Stage 2 flash from GM. And there is no way just to buy that code.

You can't purchase the inserts alone from GM. They only come with the whole door trim panel.

If you really need to get an authorization code again, you can always get a stage 1 kit. It has the same tune code for stage 1 and stage 2. Tell this to your dealership, cause that way they only have to write-off a stage 1 kit instead of a stage 2 kit. However, GM might maybe possibly be able to call this line and explain the goof-up and get a flash only (VCI Number):
TCSC 1-888-337-1010

Hope that helps

fr33k I did not get the instruction sheet back with my parts. So what are my options? I am not paying for a kit to get a code that is BS. You are or were a GM parts technician correct?

Yup. I've been a parts tech for 12 years now If a dealership installed your Stage 2, then you should be able to go back to that same dealership and mention to them about your flash should of given you the 7K redline. They should be able to pull up your repair order and help you out. If they wont, then I would get a VIN from someones cobalt ss/sc that is using a GM flash and options and you can give that to the tech and they wont have to call GM or get a VCI number.

Once a car has the stage 2 installed and flashed, that info is transmitted to GM's servers. If you ever have troubles with your PCM, you can go anywhere in the US and get your PCM reflashed to the Stage 2.

I hope you didn't damage anything since you have been running your car this whole time with only factory programming. Your car dont know how to use the 42lbers and the extra boost.

Thanks for the info on the door panels. I was wondering if there is a part number for buying the SS/SC leather seats with red inserts. Thanks.

The whole seats for the 2-toned interiors are not available. The only way is to get pieces of the seat (like seat covers, cushions, frames, etc). Is there a certain piece your needing or are ya wanting to just change your colors?

I am looking to replace the seat and the back rest of each front seat to red, so it looks like the original GM black SS seats with the red inserts. Does that make sense ?

That's what I done with my Yellow Balt. I took off the factory cloth seat covers and replaced them with ebony w/yellow inserts from the SS/SC's. I also changed the cloth insert door panels with the yellow leather ones.

The rear seats are easy to do but the fronts can be a pain lol.

This thread has gotten massive and I tried searching but I can't find exactly what I need.

Could I have part numbers for the SS N/A rear bumper primed and also painted black so I can compare. Thanks Fr33k.

There's nothing wrong with asking. I dont mind helping fellow balters out. Plus, Crateenginedepot don't have the rear fascias listed on their site and gmpartsdirect doesn't have the online catalog to look up the part numbers for the cobalts.
