Hi, I am new here. Please help choose a color

Hi everyone, I am new here, I always read threads but I finnaly decided to join and post. Little bit about me, I am 16 yr old, 17 in Jan. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and I love the Chevy Cobalt. I have no clue when I am getting a Cobalt or what type LS or SS/SC but sadly it will probably be for College, so not till '08 I am between 3 colors to get and I don't know which one to choose: Victory Red, Rally Yellow, or Sunburst Orange. If I was getting a SS/SC I am stuck between the VR and RY because of the seat inserts or SO because it is a nice looking ext. color. The Yellow really stands out, love the inserts, but when I showed some of my friends the car and color they say it is a gay color for a tin can, is it really a gay color? The Red stands out too since it is a Corvette color and I love the inserts too. Lastly, the Orange really stands out too but no inserts except for boring black and my parents really like the Orange, and my Mom and Dad too, said it would look cool to have a Orange car just like my Dad's 2005 Corvette C6 in DSOM (Please don't hink I am bragging about the C6) just like those commericals back then when the Cobalt is the little bad bro of the C6. I don't know which color to choose please help.

Sorry for the long read.

Im getting a Cobalt too. I was in the same boat as you. didnt know what color to choose. I want everyone to love my car. I always wanted the rally yellow but my friends were like... umm no. but i really like it. So then i thought to myself. screw it. my color. my choice. i dont care what ppl think of my car. as long as you like the color thats all that matters. Id go with yellow. IMO i think it makes the car looks faster. SO is different. but where im from (Toronto, Canada) i seen tons of ppl having a SO SS/SC. havnt seen a yellow one yet. Anyways. Go with what stands out the most to you. dont worry about what others have to say

I got silver. Then again I'm probably a little older than alot of people in here. Silver blends in, I don't want to stand out anymore. But I have to admit, when I went to the dealer, there was one in yellow and I'll tell you, I went right to it and told my wife that I found my car! I mellowed out after that, though. My wife's Malibu Maxx SS is Laser Blue Metallic and that would be a cool color if it was availible.

I'm 16 and I just got the LS because I could actually afford it. But once my payments are up, I'm totally thinking about the SS/SC. But of course, it'll be a few years, so I'll be pimpin this one for a while.

Oh.. and get orange. =) I did.

I have a Yellow one and I love it, looks great with black interior. Got teased by some of my friends when I bought it, but as soon as they saw it, all that stopped instantly.

If you get yellow, you will stand out a lot, on bright side, always less than 5 in the mall parking lot, easy to find. It also dosen't look very dirty except around spolier and back bumper where water is prone to sit.

Red would also stand out, but not as much as the yellow.

Orange would not as much.

Get a LS if you need to go cheap or an SS not supercharged if you want good handleing.

In college you never want to have one of the nicest cars, become a target for theives.

I've had mine for a year and i got it when i was 16 so just because he's 16 dont assume it will be crashed in 6 months. The only times i've about crashed is because of other older people not payin attention and bein stupid. Im sick of people of saying that 16 years olds cant drive. Maybe the kid is like me and careful because he realizes how nice of a car he has and he dosent wanna screw it up. But man get what you want. If your parents will buy you a ss/sc go for it and just ignore what other people say and be careful. Also the color is totally up to you everyone is gonna have their own opinions so just get the one you want.

Would definitely say yellow LS. At first I didn't want a yellow one. I was stuck between a yellow and orange. But, in the end I have the yellow one and it's great. Then again, the color is up to you. Pick what YOU want. Who cares what others think about your balt! It is YOUR car after all.

May I be the first to reccomend the new Sport Red tintcoat... it may cost a little extra... but it's the coolest color out there IMHO.

Red cars have marginally higher resale values, and appeal to the broadest number of potential customers. Get red for when you have to sell the car down the line.

Yellow and orange cause a "love it"/"hate it" reaction in people...limitiing its appeal...

If you're waiting til '08 get the turbo if its coming out. Laser Blue Metallic or that new Dark Red color. I don't like the interior of the SS in that dark color. It has a bright red inside and doesn't match at all. it looks tacky. Rally yellow is good too.
