HID Ready Projectors

I dont understand why there isnt any HID housing available that comes aimed and ready to plug true HID ballasts in. I want good quality housing and not those crappy halo projectors off eBay too. Im willin to pay, i jus dont wanna pay for crappy stuff.

from what i have read on other threads, the halo's are junk.. seems like everybody has some problem or another with them.. i mean if you have to take something thats made for our cars, and glue parts into them.. that just means junk in my book..

Maybe we should all send a e-letter to a supporting vendor to make one. That might work.

wow...threads like this are worthless... ive had projectors for 2 years, NOT ONE problem no leaks nothing... you only hear about the problems people dont come on and brag about there projectors working flawlessly. only when there not. Ive had HIDs in mine for awhile and they work better then i could excpet. so i dont see the problem..

sorry to say aftermarket headlights dont come "pre"-aimed.. no matter what you will have to adjust it

My projectors work well but the pattern lacks a little which I think is due to a different focal length of the HID bulb vs. the Halogens. I would like to see a true HID setup.

I think hes looking more for a high quality purpose built product. A product made for HIDs. Something that was designed for HIDs and basiclly plug and play. Though aiming is something you just have to do.

I find I learn nothing when things are plug and play - if you have to modify something to work or change something slightly to make it different you learn more about the product you are putting on your car. Like how light actually travels and how you personally like the light to travel ahead of your car. The Ebay projectors aren't crap - there are lemons in every batch and you will only hear about the shitty experiences. Even if you paid big bucks you could still get a pair of shitty headlights. If true HID headlights were in the cards for our cars they would have been on them when we bought them.

IMO - plug and play is boring.

The problem there is some people just want to have a product that is simple and reliable. And something that is easy, even for the car noob.

there is the saying that when something is great you may tell one person. when something is bad. you tell everybody.. the biggest problem is finding a quality parts. after reading all the problems from the halo group buy, (not vendor problems) quality problems, there is no way in hell i would buy something like that. if i spend that kind of money on a product (any product) i want it to work the first time and work that way it supposed to work.. would somebody buy, lets say a tv, take it home and have to take it apart. glue pieces in, fix bad wires, tune colors? no i dont think so.. i am glad to hear that your projectors work great and i am sure that a lot of other peoples work great too.. i would rather spend a thousand dollars for something i know is going to work every time i use it and not get a cheap part that will cause nothing but problems... but that just my opinion and i could be wrong..

no matter what here.....

a true HID projector with a functional glass projector made to work with the specific "focal length" of an HID bulb instead of the shorter focal pattern and length made for a halogen bulb, and those are often plastic as well....

none the less, HID specific units will give a higher quality and a much more focused cut off beam for the HIDs in comparison with the halogen units.

Im thinking that honestly there isnt enough support for another headlight HID or halogen... Yes i would love more options and would love a good quality HID headlight i dont see it happening anytime soon i could be very wrong but most cars in general only have 1 or 2 choices and they have been out for forever.

Difference is, TV's weren't made for modding, cars were. However; I do agree that if a product is made to be plug and play out of the box they should be plug and play - which in most cases they are. AND they should not have to be modded to work. With regards to quality, some of the projectors produced are not of good quality. I put mine in with no quams or problems, strictly plug and play with simple wiring to power the LED's and halo's (which do not have to be wired in order for the lights themselves to work. Only need wiring if you want the LED's and halos to work). The projectors I got are of the same quality as factory headlights with regards to the housing.

I guess the saying "You get what you pay for" sort of applies to this.

if their was a hid set made for our cars id much rather see a single bi-zenon projector then the two standard projectors, i just can stand the look of the so called"projectors" made for our cars
