HID relay harness required?

Finally solved my issue, believe ballast took a crap, my continious hi beams didn't work, but did if I pulled lever back.

So that being said would a relay harness fix this issue? can it cause this issue? or prevent this issue? I don't want to ditch the HID's as I absolutely hate the stock lighting 2 years that's 2 sets of HID's

I would never run HIDs without a relay on a car that didn't come with HIDs, but Idk if that's your problem.

where can I get a relay harness is the next thing? I went to zzp was going to get new ballast and relay harness gettin ready to check out then he checked with someone in back and said their relay harness isn't for the bi xenon? how is a harness different for the bi xenon from xenon? think the oem wiring took out the ballast. I tried ballast in my fiero and same thing, no brights.

friend was telling me intially the HID's need major amp's starting up once they're running great, but it's the intial firing of them that draws the amperage.

Any 9007 bi-xenon harness will work. I'm still using mine from DDM Tuning for my EvoX-R bi-xenon projectors. The bi-xenon harnesses have an extra wire for each side that connects to the solenoid of a PnP bulb or bi-xenon projector. A non-bi-xenon harness will just be a simple relay that connects to your low beam only. Hopefully, you do plan on using projectors as the stock headlights don't distribute HID light very well and will blind oncoming drivers. Also, the high beams won't be very good. You'll actually see further down the road with your halogens than you will with an HID kit.

retrofit source sells pretty good harnesses and great ballasts. I'm sure if you contact them they will have a solution for you. they were the only company that got a kit that worked well with the DRLs on my car.
be prepared to drop a good $150 to $200 on the whole kit. but it will be worth it.

no worse then paying $100 for canbus ballast from zzp then magically taking a crap 15 months later, but the relay thing might explain why they didn't last. Ones I bought before canbus I don't think were that great of quality.

I see morimoto's are said to be excellent and they back their crap for 3 years, which makes me want to go that route. Figure in 24 months that's 2 sets of HID's I've gone through and my first kit had a relay harness.
