High frequency vibration

High frequency vibration
Hey All
Was wondering if anyone knew where to start, the engine has developed a high frequency vibration, it's not terribly noticeable at idle but as you rev up in neutral/clutch in it becomes VERY irritating, it feels like theirs an electric shaver vibrating the steering wheel and pedals.
This is even MORE pronounced when driving I can tell you it's not the tires, some suggested CV joints but that wouldn't explain the vibrating at standstill in neutral.
again high frequency, like some electric razor or something, seriously annoying.
Any guesses?
