been there too man, i had a young girl cut me off in traffic and slam on the brakes about 2.5 years ago. she cut so close to my car that her bumper went over my hood and i couldn't stop in time, so i bumped her and kinked my hood a little, beat the grill up a little bit, and scuffed my front bumper. i pull over right away and so does she, i get out and about 4 teenagers get out of the other car. i look at mine and see it's not too bad, look at their car and say it's fine. 1 of the kids goes "omg this is a rental, what are we going to do!?" so when i turn to go to my trunk to get a towel (it was a little wet out) to dry things off and get a better look they sped away and left me . being a college student i couldn't afford to get that little **** fixed, i should have this year but at this point i'll wait it out thru winter and do it next year. i just don't understand people about 95% of the time, especially when i'm towing my work trailer and people try to cut me off, etc.

 

Was there any traffic camera's in the area?

That would help you out big time, then she couldn't lie about it cause they would have her on camera...

 

hmm good question. i'll check for cameras in general. no traffic cameras though.

Too bad you're not in Pittsburgh area, I know where there's a right side door.. Had to get the left for mine last week after insurance finally gave me the check. They just took the deductible out of the check though for me.. As for the cell phone pics not being worth a damn, that's what I gave my agent and she said they helped out a lot. showed the damage, plates and the road it happened on, the lanes and all.
