A-hole(s) vandalized my Cobalt SS/TC

I came home a bit past 11 p.m last night. My car looked great, no need to inspect it, whatever.
I woke up around 8 this morning, went outside and saw scratch upon scratch upon scratch EVERYWHERE on my CSS! They even keyed the ******* wing!
I don't know who did it; I honestly can't point to any one person and even hint that he/she might've done it because I don't know anyone who holds a grudge against me.
I already filed a police report and called my insurance company. Fortunately, I have full coverage insurance.
The worst thing, besides the fact that I might never find out who the a-hole(s) was/were who did this to my car, is that now if I ever try to sell or trade the car, it's value will be shitty. People will ask why I had to have it repainted... Ugh...

BTW, I don't have pics yet, but I'll be sure to take some post them later. FWIW, I think they also removed the cap off of my front passenger side tire. I'm not sure, though, because I haven't inspected the tires (before today) in a few weeks.

Also, I know they targeted my Cobalt SS specifically because there's a Toyota Corolla and Toyota Tacoma parked right next to my car and neither were damaged (thankfully). Maybe these punks thought it'd be cool to key a car that looks better than whatever the **** they drive. I don't know...
I'm having a lot of irrational thoughts right now. I know it's just a car, but in the end of the day, it's MY car... I hope I can find the *******(s) who did this and leave them with a bunch of ******* scratches... No, scratch that. Leave them dead.

I'm taking crime scene technology this semester at college, I learned that it's nearly impossible to get prints off a rock or brick, and they just dust em to make the person who asks happy

Go to town

What do you guys think will happen now, though? I'm sure my insurance company will repaint my car (at least I hope they do)...
Do you think they'll force me to go with the same color it currently is or will I be able to choose a different color? If that's the case, I think I want to switch colors so the next time these idiots see my car, they'll be like, "****, we made it look even better now!"
BTW, I normally park in the garage... I should've just parked in the garage last night, too.

I would assume it would be the same color because it would be more expensive to fully repaint the car, they wouldn't have to go into the jams and engine bay just to fix scratches

If not you must go white

My mazda tribute was keyed all the way around and broke into with the headliner cut to shreds. They estimated the damage and cut me a check for 4,700. I never had it fixed just the headliner so I say yes you can do what ever you want with money

If I'm getting it painted a different color, I want to go with one that isn't OEM or similar.

If you are concerned about resale value why not just paint it the OEM color?

This stuff is really annoying. Last summer some *****(s) pried the SS badge off my trunk lid and were not very accurate with the pry tool....

I don't get what possess people to do this random vandalism. Hell, if they would have asked I would have just bought them a set of SS badges for 15 bucks if they wanted 'em that badly....

To be honest, I'm not concerned with resale value. I plan to keep this car for as long as it continues to run. I was just thinking that if the day ever does come when I decide to trade up (or down, whatever), I won't get as much money as I would have if idiot(s) didn't vandalize the car.

Can any of you guys please photoshop a pic of a Cobalt SS some non-OEM colors so I can get an idea of what I color I might want to do? I'd greatly appreciate it.
