That's messed up man, people are ridiculous.

I'd get it repainted back to OEM, since imperial blue cobalts arent very common.

I like imperial blue, but it's kind of bland, imo...
If my insurance company gives me a decent amount of money, I'm going to go with a different color. I'm hoping to do Kawasaki green, but if that costs too much, I'll go with a simple red or yellow...


The only thing is that I want to do a unique color, you know? Red or yellow, no matter what shade, could still be similar to OEM paint. I want my Cobalt SS to be a color that isn't available through the factory. Maybe a dark purple would suffice, but I'll have to wait and see what the insurance company will do first.

 

I dont think the color of a paint job is going do be the determining factor for cost. The difference in actual paint (like candy paint vs enamel vs laquer etc.) would be the "x" factor in price difference. The only way to save coin by color choice is repainting the car the same color it is now.

 

Sorry to hear man. That would be a good ol beat down if you ever find out who did.
