If i got a SS for my first car what you would recommend turbo or super?

I would only get a tune, paint the front lip, rims and brake calipers for the first year or so and id only at exhuast and pedders for performance for about a year.

What do you think?

Or get a super for 2 years and maybe switch to a turbo?

I really like the steering wheel in the turbo and the rims? Would those fit a SC?

Forgot to mention. Assuming nothing bad happens to the car. I will have this thing for at least 4-5 years. so im looking for a 2010 turbo maybe :P

What ever i make my dad will put towards it so if i make 7 he puts 7 towrads it. But i have 9 so im at 18 right now to spend.

 

18000 and you want a cobalt? You could get a g8 gt for 18000.

 

^^^ im 18, my first car was a 1996 mercury sable, awesome grandma car, then i got my job as a motorcycle mechanic at the local bike shop, then bought a 1995 cummins, sold that then got my 07 cobalt ss s/c when i went to my uncles fabrication shop. at 16, your insurance is gonna be high, mine is even tho im 18.

 

It would be in my dads name so not crazy high. Hes got a good record.

 

Insurance goes up when he adds you though. Unless hes not going to add you

 

You will still have to be a driver and it will be pretty high Im 19 and mine is 800+ every 6 months.. If you have 18k get the cobalt and a bike

 

Id be an occasional user on the insurance label. Even though it would be my car. Id just be cheaper all around.

Prius is the way to go imo. Prius = the new muscle cars. I heard a guy ran 25 secs on the 1/4 mile in a prius. How bout that for power

if you're gettin a cobalt, get the turbo.. i love it, start ahead of the game and get the best (cobalt that is)

 

go for the turbo. Just be careful in it. At least if you're paying for half you'll actually appreciate it and take care of it unlike most kids your age.

That's good to hear! I hate when people just get things handed to them. You can easily pick out the ones on here who's parents gave them the car. Nothing wrong with honest hard work.
