How to: Approach Dealer on Brake Problems

Hey all,
I am asking for some advice on the best way to approach a problem I am having. So far my dealership has been good about adressing my concerns. I don't like to bring my car in unless I have to, and I really have to this time.

Basically this is what's up (please comment if you have had this):

Slowing down from around 50 mph (80km/h) everything is fine the car tracks true and doesn't pull right or left. I maintain the same brake pedal pressure, however, as the car gets down to about 30 mph (50km/h) it begins to pull aggressively either left or right. I find this very strange as I have not increased my pedal pressure, nor does it pull consistently to one side as one would expect from a bad Caliper. I am unsure if this is steering, suspension, or the brake system itself.

I want to ensure my description is specific and I do not want them doing excessive testing with my car. You know how eager a tech is to drive the crap out of these cars and that's exactly what I am trying to avoid. Do you think the above explanation is sufficient? How would you approach this situation with the dealer?

Thanks for your two cents!

Ryan

PS: this happens on both even surfaces which are not slopped and of on sloped surfaces. On sloped surfaces the pull is much harder then if I simply lift my hands off the wheel and let the car track with the road's contour.

when i first got my cobalt, it happened 2 weeks after driving.
service writer (who is a ****) told me the slight shaking was normal, and that the rotors where just cooling down, and thats why i got come shake..

well i brought it to the dealer 3 more times about it, he said to wait a bit, i took it to another dealer and he said i should have had it resurface a while back, so they resurfaced it under warrenty, 4months later, same thing and the surefaced them again, now im over my 30000km break warrenty..

all i have to say is slotted/drilled in all 4 corners is on its way........

I've had similar problemes.

First, the dealer turned my discs, did not want to replace them. This is at 17000kms. The car would shake everytime I brakes.

Then it started to pull to the left, so they aligned it. GOt it back, it was now pulling to the right. Went again, it still pulled to the right. I guess third time is the charm, cause they finally fixedit. The rotated the tires a few times, then realigned it for the 3rd time.

Good luck

If you don't want the tech to drive the hell out of your car. Go with him. They can't deny you as a passanger in your own car, haha.
