how do you find about ur VIN #?
Got word from the dealer today that the car should be here by the mid month. they gave me the VIN# 1G1AP12P657580345. Just wondering where do I check it at?

You ordered the vehicle from the dealership, and probably signed paperwork at a dealership, and definitely payed money or agreed to finance money going to the dealership.
Wouldn't it then be implied that any questions you have could be asked to the dealership?

A word of advice - if you don't plan on running a front license plate, then tell the dealer to leave the damn thing off. The screws are better engineered on it than an F-1. They will strip if you try to remove them.

It's not really all that interesting in this age of Computer Technology when you type in numbers and get a corresponding file in the network of the place that builds the car which by law has to keep track of every car sold so if there is a recal they can send out the appropriate mailers..

We're lucky here. Cincinnati (ohio) law says you have to have a front and rear plate, but with Indiana and Kentucky (both only have rear) so close you can get away with only having a rear plate. The only priblem is when my friends and I take trips we have to put the front plate on
