i have it and kept it after the trial. it's useful imo. except for the first time i needed them to unlock my doors. i was parked in my driveway in town and yet they were not able to unlock my doors for some reason - poor signal i'm guessing. luckily i hadn't closed my trunk all the way so i had to lay the back seat down and slide through the trunk and into the front seat and then unlock my doors lol. i didn't really want to do that because i had to take all my work crap and sub box out.

i think he is saying that he has friends that are jackasses? that they would contact onstar and try to get the rep's number and a coke? i think he means "to" as in "too" not "two"...nope wait nevermind he did mean "two" ... just read it again and yeah it should be two..quarter pounder??

Mine has it but I don't know if I'll keep it going after the 1st year time runs out, I really don't use it hardly at all. I did however add it to my Verizon account just for the heck of it. Hands free calling is convenient but I may use it once a week at most. I don't see any reason for me personally to keep OnStar active unless I really start using it more often.

I have it. Haven't tried it out yet, though. Still a new car for me :-)

I have it and I love it. I purchase the minutes. Surround sound while your on the phone is kind of interesting. Onstar is expensive but I know that if I get stuck somewhere or get into an accident the cops are going to come a lot faster because Onstar will call them for me. So to me its peace of mind.

Have onstar , side bags and G85 package , but no sunroof?? It was the last one on the lot and the 0% financing campaign only had 1 hour to go , so i said screw it and bought it . Looking back now i'm kinda glad i didn't get the roof after hearing about the switch trim falling off all the time .

I have it also I like it for the hands free however I wish they had the same setup at dodge where you can use your bluetooth cellphone with the system also. I also used the turn by turn nav once when I got lost and it worked out pretty slick.

NO ONSTAR.. I wish I had it though I have every other option but that.. and I need it. I've gotten stuck in the snow, I've gotten lost in the ghetto, I've lost my phone a million times, I never know where I am incase of emergency (And stupid iPhone doesn't have GPS >:-|). I had my dealer look for a Cobalt with OnStar and they couldn't find one within 100 miles. I may be upgrading to the new Malibu soon.. those look dead sexy haha

You think thats bad. When I first got my car I thought the engine was a V-4.

not if you have a phone thru that provider. my understanding is that they can tie it in to use the minutes off your cell phone if it's thru verizon.

Nope, and thank god it isn't! I don't want them knowing where I am or what im doing. Certainly don't want them to have the ability to shut my car off.
