How much to fix?
Well some dick bag hit me in the rear end who knows how long ago and I'm left with a good 2" scratch on the bumper at the same level as the license plate on the passenger side and a small chunk missing from the lower lip on the same side. I just noticed it today, prbably happened on Tuesday. Does anyone have a slight clue as to how much something like this might cost to get fixed? I'm thinking just bondo+sanding to fix the lip and then painting both parts. The car only has 9k miles on it so I don't think the paint needs to be blended. Can anyone give me a good idea on the cost?
In the end I have to decide whether or not I should file a claim with my insurance (would make it the second comprehensive claim on this car since I got it, first was vandalism) and my deductable is $500.

is the scratch a gash? or can u just possibly buff it out? use some yellow touch up paint? as for the lip i'd try maybe doing like you said bondo it then sand it down and use a yellow gm perfect match spray paint. prep is always the key then mask off around it paint it clear it let it cure maybe wetsand it and buff it and if it's as small as it sounds in the description you probably won't even be able to tell. anyways that route would take you less than $50 i'd imagine.

People are ********. I feel your pain. It's happened to me in the past. That's why I park waaaay in the back of parking lots at stores and never park on the street at home. Always in the driveway or in the garage.
Pictures?
Pictures?
Thats just it, I always park stupidly far away in parking lots and what not. The only thing I could think of was when I made a run to campus in my car on Tuesday because I didn't feel like making the 10 minute trek. I parked in the campus parking lot for all of 10 minutes. I will see if I can get pics when its light out tomorrow. The bumper I'm probably just going to use touch up, but I will have to see about the rear lip. If it doesn't cost much I will probably just pay to have it fixed once I pull it out in the spring.
I don't know if its the yellow color, or the body kit on these cars, or the rarity of these cars or what but this car has always been a target for **** to happen to it.

Some guy cracked my bumper a few weeks ago just by the license plate, left a decent scratch, insurance priced it out for $730 bucks. But instead of replacing it they wanted to do a thermoplastic welding or something like that lol.
Wow, that is crazy. Luckily I don't have any cracks, just missing paint and plastic.
My dads friend was offering to replace my bumper for $250 thats including the paint job, so I cant imagine them being too expensive to replace. You can just track down your own bumper then take it to a shop and ask them to paint it.
