how to open trunk without key?

How can I open the trunk without the key?? And besides the button by the steering wheel.

Can I pop the backseat out somehow and unlatch it?

The latches are in the trunk to pop the back seat so you can flip them down. There's a how to on repositioning the latches inside the cab. I did it and its way easier to drop the back seats down

If you can pull the back seats down (latch is inside trunk...) crawl inside the trunk and there is the safety handle if a little kid gets stuck inside.

Where did you repositioned yours? I'd like to fold my seats from the inside without having to go to the trunk to release them everytime.

open the little cubbie to the left of the steering wheel on the dash, right below the fog light button, and inside the cubbie there is a trunk release button.

I followed the how to. The latch poppers are positioned down by the carpet at the outer corners of the seats. If I find the how to ill post it in here

Remove the seat bottom cushion, then push the release clips for the seat back cushion (these are at the bottom of each of the seat backs), and you might very well be able to get into the truck without it being released at the top ???????

Why can't you use the button from the cubbyhole? If battery is dead boost it from under hood and button will work. Did you lock the key in the trunk

If you locked your keys in the trunk then just do what the post you quoted says to do. You have to open the trunk to fold the seats down.

you can also call your local dealer and have them cut a key for you by your vin if all else fails. requires proof of ownership though. we cut keys by vin multiple times a day.

So I have a similar situation. We had a key break in the trunk keyhole a few months ago, and decided to leave it there since we plan on getting rid of the car next year. I went to Advanced Auto Parts and gave them my car battery to get it recharged, Never thought about how I was going to get back into the trunk. Is my only option to boost it from under the hood? If so, what exactly does that mean?

Just put the cables on the normal spots, then pop the trunk. Easy.
