My car is leased and my question is can some else take over the lease payments so i can get a different car? My car is on a smartbuy which is basically a lease. A friend of mine wants to take my car from me and just take over the payments. Is that possible?

 

Yep, the person taking over has to be approved by GMAC and there is a fee for doing it. It's $450 in Canada.

 

As long as their credit is good.
