hyundai genesis getting more badass
i doubt you'll see it in the coupe and even if u do, the price will be up there...gonna be hard for any manufacturer to compete with the new 5.0 pony car....bang-for-the-buck, new mustang hard to beat
oh plz. theres more to a car than going fast in a straight line. if someone sat down my g8 and a new mustang side by side and told me pick one i would pick my g8. looks classy its fast and it has 4 doors and the mustang is just a mustang thats fast whoopty damn doo
i agree, just sayin for those straight line muscle heads....also, mustangs have come A LONG way in the past few years...THANKS TO THE SPORT COMPACT SEEN & IMPORTS THAT CAN BLOW THE DOORS OFF "AMERICAN MUSCLE!" (whatever that is)
ALSO, i think u got me wrong...I'M NOT A MUSTANG FAN AT ALL...but u better recognize the specs of the new 5.0...we can smoke last gen V-8s and now we hang with the 300HP V-6....ford might surprise u...i'm sure they surprised chevy...now they're playing catch up with a "new" camaro!!
BTW...love the G8, my pockets just weren't deep enuf!

8 speed auto sounds overkill to me, sorry. boy! a 5.0 huh? they're really trying to compete with the mustang and rightfully so. (this is coming from a he-man ford/mustang hater) chevy took too long making the camaro and now the stang is ahead of the pack. hyundai can try, but the mustang will kill it in sales i think. as far as the camaro is concerned... it needs to be remodeled to be about 400-500 pounds lighter.
lmao a 5.0 and an EIGHT SPEED!! holy crap hyundai is really gettin there **** together!.
If they were to put thta v8 in a gen coupe and tune it for speed and put an 8spd stick I'd give them MAD props!!

2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8
This range-topper is expected to receive and upgrade in a big way, in the form of 6.4-liters of Hemi engine goodness. The SRT8, complete with the engine swap, is expected to arrive in late 2011 and will provide the SRT8 with a bump from 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque to a monstrous 480+ horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Because the 6.4-liter engine will come with cylinder deactivation, the new SRT8 is expected to retain, or even enjoy a slight bump from its current 13 city, 19 highway fuel economy ratings.
The SRT8 is expected to continue use of the Mercedes-Benz-sourced five-speed automatic at launch, but an eight-speed ZF-sourced Chrysler transmission, as previously reported by Leftlane, will be added in 1-2 years.

Asked whether or not the 5.0-liter engine would fit into the Genesis Coupe, a Hyundai engineer said yes, "but we have chosen not to do that, possibly for the next generation."
all you guys bashing hyundai, when do you see them have any problems with there cars. i had a 2005 tiburon before the cobalt and put a 100k miles on it and never had any issues with it. the most reliable car i ever had but i wanted something cooler and traded it in for the cobalt. wish i never did with the problems i have with this car.
