Did you get your seat warmers from PYFC?
the job
getting the seats out of the car took like 30 seconds(only 2 bolts for each seat)
then my dad and i took some time to figure out where to put the buttons.
taking the seats apart was a hassle but i worked in a detail shop for quite a while so i knew what i was getting into. taking the seat cover all the way off is a waste of your time. all you need to do is pull the leather up high enough so that you can work underneath. the leather on the seat back is actually attached by screws to the seat so i just i undid the j clips and rolled enough of the leather up to work the heating element in. the seat bottoms went in easy as pie. like i said ive worked with cars before so im pretty clever at tucking wires with twist ties where they wont get pinched or rubbed against. The first seat went very slow then the second went by in a flash. i was going to take step by step pics but unfortunately my camera was full after 2 pics! DOH! just one of those things. my dad is a GM engineer so he handled the wiring. we used the windshield and the sunroof fuses to supply power. ill post some pics tomro i think we did a great job as the buttton is well placed. the heat works though the driver side heats faster. we think its a bad ground so ill be tinkering. i had a though later that it may have been the fact that the lumbar support was cranked on full (after wrestling with the seat) and might have pushed the pad into me harder as there is no lumbar **** on the passenger side. ill keep everybody updated.
i actually bought the heating elements off ebay. this is the stuff. the directions sucked but i figured it out.

this is the exact ones 2 x 72.50+ s+h=156 sumthin and i now have the best feature on an automobile since the steering wheel. oh by the way i live in Michigan so its soooo nice to have a warm seat.
whew thats a lot of writing.

I drove a new Monte SS with heated seats , it was so cozy I didnt want to get out of it
For the comment on the material , with any leather ...the heat is only gonna help it . Cold stiff leather is much more prone to crack prematurely when sat on than pliable warm leather .
Nice job , I was pretty surprised when I got mine heated leather was unavailable when GM touted the option before the SS came out . ah well .

heated seats
i did both seats driver and passenger. but u can do only one if you want.
i did not have to take the seat all the way apart. I was able to take the seats out very very easily. the seat bottom comes apart easily. the seat back not so much. i was able to release the leather from the seat and using my hands work the heating elements into position. it took a lot longer then i thought but it wasnt too hard to do.

Was there any stitching involved??? I'm, how you say, pretty f'in bad on a sewing machine.
Also, how much does it cost to get the color insert seats?? I'm driving a baseline and I like the two tone style and I'm wondering if anyone who's bought Recaros for a yellow SS/SC might be willing to part with their two tones...

heated seats
there is a switch on each side. absolutely no stiching involved unless you screw up and rip something. the leather has 2 grooved channels that hold the leather tight on the padding. after undoing these slips i worked the heating elements in.
