Cool Well, there was this

white '02 Porsche Boxster at the GM dealer in Oxford NC, where I was visiting for work. I stopped to get a look at the SS (no pressure since I wasn't going to buy there) and the Porker had been traded for a Covette or sumtin'. Well, it had only 15,000(!) and was immaculate. Wanted $32,000 which was a bit over my budget and I needed to trade my truck. So, maybe next time, since I've always wanted a Porsche........

To own a 50k car and a house, you've gotta be doing at LEAST decent. Boxters aren't THAT cheap. They could go up to 60 I belive. HOwever, i'd take the cayman over a boxter just because it's a coupe and I do not like verts

You're confusing it with the 924 and its Volkswagen parts. The Boxster, if (you can) read any worthy car magazine is all Porsche. Not a 911, true, but still very Porsche. And I could use a Caymen too

If not a Cobalt...

I would have bought a Mazda Speed 3 or a VW GT.

Cobalt could have been a great car if GM emphisized a bit more on quality. I still enjoy the car but if GM is serious about helping their stock holders and customers, their first priority should be to fix the problems with their cars. Maybe they already are and I hope so because the only way I'll be buying another GM is when they publicly announce that they have implimented a higher quality standard and have the proof in hand.

Ive not bought a car yet but im torn between 4 cars, new eclipse GT, new ford mustang gt(only 2 of the 4 cars that I can get auto trans) and cobalt ss/sc or new honda civic si.
And thats just the new cars im looking at.. I still have 6 months to think about it tho.
Any thoughts or sugestions would be great. (This will be my 1st car btw.)

I would never buy a junk ass honda, evo, mazda,vw of any kind. Those are ghetto rides IMO thanks to the punks who cant drive them. The SS/SC was the only car I had interest in this price range. Best bang for the buck. If I could not have found the one I liked I would have bought a LS1 car or another Grand National.
